Our History
Hughes Heating & Cooling, Inc. was started in 1978 by Ken Hughes. Ken graduated from Warren Central High School in 1972 and served in the Air Force until 1977. After serving his country, Ken went to work for Citizens Gas. Following his desire to use his GI Bill, he enrolled in the Ivy Tech HVAC program while continuing to retain employment with Citizens. Ken supplemented his Citizens income by doing HVAC work allowing him to provide for his wife and two small children at home (Jason and Jennifer). Losing his father at the age of six, Ken learned at an early age the importance of hard work by watching his mother work several jobs to provide for him and his siblings. Ken’s unmatched work ethic, his commitment to customer service, and his determination has allowed Hughes Heating & Cooling to be successful for more than 40 years. Ken has instilled these same values in his two sons, Jason and Kenny who have grown to have the same dedication to the business. The family values, dedication, and drive to maintain an honest and hardworking business model will allow Hughes Heating & Cooling to grow and satisfy customers for the next 40 years.
